Guanajuato, the fifth state to announce a red light to stop infections at Christmas
The Government shows its concern about the current situation of another five entities that are still on orange alert
Guanajuato is the fifth Mexican state to announce its red light starting this Friday, Christmas Day. Like dominoes, the entities are announcing that the pandemic reaches its maximum severity and that they implement measures to stop the contagion on these dates.
It is about sending a message to the population so that they stay at home and take precautionary measures so many times repeated from a healthy distance, use of masks and, above all, avoid parties where a large number of people congregate.
Thus, after Baja California, Mexico City, the State of Mexico and Morelos, Guanajuato joins the drastic situation of closing businesses, lower the capacity in those places that can remain open and maintain essential services, a situation that will last until January 10.
In a message broadcast by Twitter to the population, the governor, Diego Sinhué Rodríguez, wished his administrations a Merry Christmas and reminded them to stay at home celebrating with the intimate nucleus of relatives.

But in recent days it has been the governors who have announced it on their own.
Guanajuato has 67% of beds for covid already occupied, although it still has 70% free in those for seriously ill patients who need assisted respiration. Despite the hospital margin, the state health authorities have decided to advance the red traffic light three days ahead of schedule.
The situation in Mexico becomes worrying these days, in which some States have their health services exceeded and the peak that is recorded about 15 days after there have been parties or events that involve great mobility, as happened with the Good End, the days of sales in shops in November.
Despite everything, this Thursday the news was the arrival of the vaccines to the Republic and the first 3,000 immunized among the health personnel of Querétaro, State of Mexico and Mexico City, an event that has been broadcast live from the Palace screens.
